YOUR AUDIO STAYS YOURS

Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: 21 August 2026

LAKSH is designed so guitar audio, recordings and personal tone files stay inside your browser. The server receives only the limited information required to run trials, payments and licenses.

1. Information processed locally

Live guitar/audio-interface input, loaded DI audio, processed audio, recordings, personal presets, imported NAM captures and imported IRs are processed locally. LAKSH does not upload those bytes to its server. Browser localStorage and IndexedDB retain licensed presets and assets until you remove them or clear site data.

2. Information processed by the service

The licensing service stores a random browser identifier, approximate country supplied by the hosting network, trial seconds used, license status, activation timestamps, purchase email, price/currency, Razorpay order/payment identifiers and the accepted terms version. License keys are stored as one-way hashes.

3. Payment providers

Checkout is provided by Razorpay. Payment credentials such as card or UPI authentication data are entered into Razorpay’s interface and are governed by Razorpay’s privacy and security practices. LAKSH receives transaction identifiers and status required to verify and support the purchase.

4. Cookies and browser storage

An essential HttpOnly cookie identifies the browser for the trial and license. It is not an advertising cookie. Local browser storage remembers a restoration key, licensed presets, product preferences and imported personal assets. Blocking or clearing this data may require license restoration and can remove locally saved rigs.

5. Practice integrations

The YouTube practice player connects to YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed only after you load a track. YouTube then processes the playback under its own policies. YouTube audio is not included in LAKSH recordings.

6. Purpose, sharing and retention

Information is used for access control, payment fulfilment, fraud prevention, device limits, refunds and support. It is shared only with infrastructure/payment providers as needed or when legally required. Transaction and licensing records may be retained for accounting, support, fraud prevention and legal obligations. Trial device records may be periodically removed when no longer needed.

7. Security and your choices

Transport encryption, HttpOnly cookies, hashed identifiers and server-side signature checks are used. No internet system is risk-free. You can clear local data in browser settings, request information or correction, and request deletion where retention is not legally required. Deleting a paid license record may prevent later restoration.
